Alberto Mendoza Nieves, artistically known as MC Ceja, was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and raised between New York and Puerto Rico. At the age of 13, he began participating in local talent shows and parties, as well as composing songs. His great success came when he met reggaeton producer DJ Eric. His first release was titled "Dame ese Blunt" and from then on the urban artist began to participate in important productions such as Hip Hop Reggae Mix, Street Style 1, Street Style 2 and Soca. He has also been an important artist in the productions of DJ Eric Industry, Volumes 3, 4 and 5. In 1996, Ceja released his first album called “Luz Solar”, it sold more than fifty thousand copies. His hit "Confusión" was part of this production and was at number 1 on the charts for 10 weeks. Later MC Ceja met Lito & Polaco, these later formed the group known as Los Tres Mosqueteros. Also, while he was recording with DJ Eric, a lyrical war started between them and The Noise group, which has artists like Baby Rasta & Gringo and more. This war went on for many years and was not resolved until just a couple of years ago. Upon his release from prison, he returned to the studio with DJ Eric and produced his third solo album, Boricua State of Mind, which was released in 2001, with the single "Desnúdate" alongside Wisin & Yandel. In 2013, MC Ceja returned to his roots, the original rap of the tiraeras and thus released his fifth studio album entitled "Como Antes" and in 2018 he released his sixth album, “King Mendo”. Now in 2020 he has released songs like "Mastika" and "Camina" returns with Polakan (Polaco) to revive Mendoza and Ortega, a three-song EP that revives the beginning of urban music. Currently, MC Ceja owns GLAD Empire and has opened his horizons to be an entrepreneur and mentor of young talents so that they do not commit the same mistakes that he once made.
